All the final looks with accessories for this special event prepared with the help of the stylist Paolo Turina.
The Hungarian designers’ collections carry the Central-European heritage but are designed with contemporary patterns, an exciting eclectic combination.
ABODI
ABODI loves to create time travelling concepts. ABODI is a combination of tradition and innovation and is deeply inspired by the designer’s Transylvanian roots and classic art inspirations. ABODI’s signature style can be defined as baroque futurism; fusing classic with modern, contemporary references opposed with magic mythologic narratives from Transylvanian family and historic stories.
ABODI’s icon is the TWIN UNISUS, a mystical and powerful creature, a winged unicorn, a hybrid mythological animal. The unicorn symbolises something that is highly desirable but difficult to see, find and obtain, an extremely wild creature, beyond mere mythical imagination, being able to communicate with transcendental powers. The Pegasus is a mythical winged divine horse related to Greek Gods. ABODI’s Twin Unisus is the offspring of a Unicorn and a Pegasus, a super magical creature merging the ultimte beauty and power.
CUKOVY
Cukovy is a modern design brand established in 2014. The brand gathers inspiration from everyday life and transforms well-known motifs into wearable works of art. Cukovy offers great flexibility and unique design solutions. With changeable parts, you have the opportunity to find the perfect combination for the occasion and deliver a breathtaking look – with a little tweak you can always be perfectly you. We design for metropolitan women who are really able to show and enjoy their feminine power, regardless of their age.
KATA SZEGEDI
Kata Szegedi and Daniel Benus met in 2002 while studying at 'Kisképző' Secondary School of Fine and Applied Arts, where they became best friends.
The designer duo's aim is to create pieces full of passion, objects of desire, inspiration drawn from Budapest. Contemporary art, youth culture and urban lifestyle are combined with an emphasis on tailoring and the use of custom-developed fabrics. The interesting marriage of streetwear influences, Hungarian sensibilities and global motifs present a playful and fresh attitude of the effortless 21st century men and women.
THE FOUR
THEFOUR, a kaleidoscope of heritage and invention, is a Budapest based womenswear label.
The clashing energies of designers Anett and Marci are channeled into singular clothes for maverick women. THEFOUR creations, as a reflection on the perplexing issues of our present, carry empowering visual messages while smart cuts and neat shapes keep the sophisticated pieces uncomplicated and wearable.
Anett and Marci - partners-in-crime since their university years - are the designers behind the brand. While they have a shared devotion to creation, they could not be more different regarding their personalities, and their attitude towards design.
For Marci, getting dressed is a fun way of self-expression, Anett sees it as a problem to solve.
When they design Marci is the risk-taker and Anett tends to be the moderate one.
Anett focuses on the shapes, in the meantime Marci puts his attention into the details.
ZSIGMOND
With a mission is to craft enduring, timeless garments ZSIGMOND paves the path of the future with the heritage of the past.Enamoured by folk dancing, the designer Dora found herself immersed in the world of Hungarian folklore at a young age. Over the years, her infatuation with traditional costumes grew into a profound respect, and by the age of 21, it became her mission to find a way to preserve her heritage in the fast-paced world of today. Thus, ZSIGMOND was born as her reinterpretation of Hungarian peasant culture in a modern context.
A pale view of land stretches far, set firmly in place across the horizon with the unyielding certainty of the past. Coarse and eerie, this is the place where ZSIGMOND emerged from in 2014. Within each creation, industrial silhouettes are met with handcrafted details, and the fragile beauty of heritage garment-making techniques is transformed into something more visceral. Each garment is eco-consciously and ethically produced in Hungary. Organic and recycled fabrics are purchased from transparent, qualified European manufacturers and utilize the dead stock materials of luxury brands.
