We have all heard about those innovatives and time saver technics, that don't matter the circonstances will make us look like we're ready. What we aren't sure about those methods is witch one to choose, here is a review of each.

PHIBROWS

WHAT IS IT?

Phibrow is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion (phi 1,618).

FOR WHO?

The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 (persons under 18 must be accompanied by their parents) who wants to correct the aesthetic problems of their eyebrows. In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be in the regeneration process and it must not be damaged by eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area.

MICROBLADING

WHAT IS IT?

Microblading, implants pigment into tiny etches in the skin which resemble fine hair strokes. When microblading is done well, it should look extremely natural, blending seamlessly into any existing eyebrow hair (if present). Results heal very soft and "wispy".

FOR WHO?

It's geared to people with normal to dry skin. Microblading would be perfect if you have little to no brow hair to give the brows a more natural look opposed to a more dramatic style.

MICROSHADING

WHAT IS IT?

Microshading (aka Powder Brow) implants pigment over the entire surface of the skin in the brow area, rather than in individual hair strokes. The healed result is soft and powdery, and can range from being "barely-there" to bold and defined depending on the client's wishes.

FOR WHO ?

People with oily, thin, large-pored, sensitive, mature skin or brows that are already full and just need a bit of shaping are better suited for Microshading (aka Powder Brows)

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST FOR ALL THE TECHNICS ?

One of the beautiful things about micropigmentation is that it lasts 1-3 years. Microshading typically last a little longer than Microblading. Either way, a yearly color boost is recommended to keep your brows looking perfect. It would not be ideal for microblading/microshading to last forever. Not only do brow trends change, but gravity draws your eyebrows downward with age. Since these techniques are designed to fade gradually over time, an adjustment over the years is recommended to allow your brows to keep a lifted and youthful appearance.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?

These are very meticulous procedures which require a great deal of attention to detail. Two sessions are required- the initial session, and the perfecting session performed 8 weeks after the first. Your initial session will last approximately 2 hours. During the initial session, The face will be measured carefully to determine the ideal brow shape for the individual bone structure. The shape will be drawn on carefully and measured again for symmetry, and all hair outside of the new shape will be removed. The perfect pigment color will be formulated to match the existing brow or hair color before the treatment begins. The perfecting session 8 weeks later will last about 60-90 minutes.

DOES IT HURT?

These treatments are generally very well tolerated, though some people may find it uncomfortable at times. A topical numbing cream is used before the procedure to keep you comfortable. Many clients say that the tweezing is the worst part!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS?

Immediately after: Your eyebrows will look darker and sharper than they will end up healing.

Days 1-5: The new pigment will continue to appear darker, thicker and more noticeable than the healed result.

Days 5-10: Your eyebrows will look flaky and/or scabby, and start to flake off.

Right after your brows heal, it may appear that the pigment is too light. Your skin forms new layers over the pigment which can make the color look "foggy" temporarily. It will take a few weeks for the pigment to fully resurface, and this is why we wait at least 8 weeks before the perfecting session. After the first week, you will be able to wear makeup if necessary to cover any patchy areas between the two treatments.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Regardless of which technique and the brows artists you choose, the price may vay from $130 to $750.

Now that you have all the knowlege, it's only up to you!
