Reimagine X Pinko
In November, PINKO will unveil its latest project, a collaboration with British designer and former Central Saint Martin’s student Patrick McDowell. With an emphasis on the durability of the garment. PINKO's creative director, Caterina Negra, has appointed Patrick, a designer renowned for her commitment to sustainable fashion, to work together on an upcycling collection. Working together, PINKO and Patrick are passionate about finding innovative ways to reduce the impact of the fashion industry and create a more sustainable approach to consumerism.
While exploring THE PINKO archives, Patrick carefully selected unsold pieces from previous collections that he then skillfully and creatively reinterpreted to give them a second life. It took between 6 and 12 hours to deconstruct and rebuild each garment, and about 1,000 metres of fabric were reused and saved. Using some of his own design and embellishment techniques, Patrick has given these garments a new life and design while remaining true to the nature and glamorous aesthetics of the PINKO brand. "I am very pleased that Pinko has taken this bold step in favour of a circular fashion industry. These measures are essential montrer que les marques peuvent non seulement réduire les stocks invendus, mais aussi aller plus loin en les "réimaginant" en de nouvelles collections passionnantes et pertinentes for their clients"-Patrick McDowell. The fashion capsule consists of styles in different product categories ranging from patchwork jeans to sequined blouses, blazers, jewelry-adorned capes and ornate coats. The capsule will also include handbags. The first collection from this collaboration will be available on PINKO.com from November, as well as in select PINKO and multi-brand stores.
